As
parents and caregivers, you are invited to visit our Best Start
Hub with your child/ren during our regular hours of operation.
Visiting our hub provides you with an
opportunity to take a break from your routine, play with your
child/ren, connect with other parents or caregivers and explore
our many resources.
As parents or caregivers, you are responsible
for your children while at the centre. early learning and care is not normally
provided at these times.
Our Best Start Hub is a bright and welcoming
place designed to encourage play and social conversations.
Crafts and early learning activities
are available daily.
Couches are available in our baby area
providing a safe, cosy and stimulating place for parents and
enfants.
Dramatic play opportunities are found
in the dress up corner and play kitchen.
A quiet reading area is available for
one on one interaction with your child.
Participation and cooperation is important
in our program. You and your child are encouraged to tidy and
maintain the areas as well as join in during circle time.
Circle Time takes place at 10:00am and
2:00pm daily for everyone, featuring songs, fingerplays, rhymes,
puppets and stories. On Monday and Friday afternoons at 2:00pm
French Circle Time takes place.
Networks of support and friendships develop
and grow among adults and children who use our centre. Staff
provide information about children's health and development,
discipline strategies and early learning and care options plus many other
topics of interest. They can lend a sympathetic ear, refer parents
to other services and problem solve with parents who may have
a particular concern.
